I don't know if you are still needing info on your transmission, but if you do I did some more digging for you. I have some old Motors Manuals at my shop and tonight I looked up what transmissions were available in 1965 Fords. Basicallly, it boils down to two versions of the Cruiseomatic in your full size Ford with 352. It can either be a single range or dual range, and the difference seems to be that the dual range has an DRIVE ONE and DRIVE TWO positions, whereas the single range only has Low and Drive.
There is a tag on the right side of the transmission that should give you some numbers, and here are some pictures I took of the manual so you could read it for yourself.

Oh, that little note number 7 next to PCD-U and PCD-Z means it is a column shift. If you have a floor shift automatic, that would be note number 8, and your tag should read PCD-V or PCD-AA.Last edited by Itoldyouso; 09-03-2011 at 06:54 PM.
