He stated that for every 10 degrees over 220, the trans life is shortened by half. Under normal driving conditions/temps, the trans should live around 250K miles. Have you put a pressure gauge on the trans to see what your pressures are? As you may or may not know, the 700R4 has the tricky TV cable, that controls line pressure. Not enough and she goes up in smoke. Something this trans has a very good reputation for.
