    Both trans are C-4s,one is a case fill and the other is a pan fill and you wont be able to put a AOD behind the 5 bolt 260 block. You might want to check both trans and see if one has a 5 bolt bellhousing.

    Thanks Jeff, you are right, now that I get a better look at them. I was also wrong about only one bolt on top of the block, I was thinking of the BOP bolt pattern vs the Chevy one. But that does look like a 5 bolt pattern. Weren't all 260's and early 289's 5 bolt?

    Just went and looked both are the 5 bolt pattern bell housing. This may be a dumb question but what do you mean case filled ?

    The dipstick tube goes in the pan on the pan fill and it goes in the case on the case fill.
