700R will grenade behind that motor...too much torque. I used to live in Rockledge Fla and Johnny Winter was a neighbor. When I switched from a mild 350 to a new ZZ572 he said the same thing, no auto shift trans would live behind that motor. He built a manual shift Turbo 400 with a 3000 RPM stall converter for me which I backed up with a Gear Vendors overdrive unit. That was 4 years ago and the trans is still running strong after I added a 200 shot of nitrous.
