    T-5 shifter location change

I have a 1990 WC T-5 # 13 52 199 from a Mustang that has a the shifter located at the end of the tail shaft . This located the shifter under where my seats will be located . It measured from bell housing a total of 26 inches to shifter center .
I started thinking that maybe a truck trans that has the shifter forward would work but the first gear would be all wrong .

I was at a swap meet to day and had some pics with me and i ran upon on a
trans from a 1989 S 10 4 cyl 5spd T-5 #13 52 193. I looked it over and and it seemed the Tail shaft was the same bolt pattern as the T-5 at home and the shifter being located forward on the tail shaft would work perfect . The guy shot me a price of $75 and so i figured hey i cant go wrong see them on ebay for twice that amount . So it went into the wifes car with a look and statment of something of grease and a cleaning .

So to shorten story got it home swapped top plates and tail shafts and i have a WC T-5 trans that will fit a Model A perfect . It moved the shifter forward over 7 inches total placing it in front of seats . I think i will turn the shifter around .

I will have to address the speedo the 90 is gear driven and the 89 is electronic and in slightly different positions . I think i figured a way of swapping them over and putting the electric one on the 90 WC .
