the car makes a loud knocking sound almost like your hitting the flexplate with a hammer. and when your on the gas hard it will it will shift but it will stay at the same rpm for about 3-5 seconds and then hit hard instead of shifting instantly. the main thing is the loud klangy/knocking noise. this is on my friends car it is an 84 cougar 302. any advice would be greatly apprec'd. i already said what it hought it was but i just want to check my theroy.....scooter
