Drop the tranny or pull the motor, your choice. I would drop the tranny which means removing of the braces to the motor from the tranny, two drive shafts, a cross member, speedo cable and wires, linkage, coolant lines, inspection sheild, and torque converter. You should be able to leave the transfer case mounted ot the tranny. All you will need is a good tranny jack.


Then lower the unit and pull the converter out of the tranny. Pop the front seal out of the front pump, and install the new $5.00 seal with a little adhesive to the contact area, the outer lip.
Sure would have been easy while the motor was out!!
