Also, I read on some throw out instructions that the clips on the fork are supposed to go inside that gap on the bearing together with the fork, not the way I have it on my picture a few posts above.
im not sure what your talking about on the pilot bearing but id put the open end towards the engine and put some grease in it. put the fork clip in the gap, dont split it.
