Lucky 7 Aluminum vega box, anybody have first-hand experience?

I am looking for feedback from anyone that has purchased a Lucky 7 fast ratio vega aluminum steering box. Whats the quality like? Not really looking to start a "If its made in China, its crap" thread (I can read that "stuff" on the HAMB all day long), looking more for specific pluses or minuses from guys who have one, or have installed one.
    Thanks for any input.

Sorry Falcongeorge, I can't remember anyone saying they've used one around my neck of the woods.

Not saying they're not out there, but like Mike I haven't heard anyone talking about them around here, either. Do you already have one, or looking to purchase?

Thinking about purchasing one. Have a daily driver with power steering that sees some track time, getting rid of the PS FOR SURE, I HATE it, a Vega box is more or less a bolt-in, its not a real heavy vehicle in the first place, but I figure if I'm gonna take some weight out, I may as well go for the gusto and use an aluminum box while I'm at it, plus it does not have great weight distribution, I'd rather lose 5lbs from the front end than 50lbs from the rear. maybe I'll just have to be the guinea pig...
I notice Flaming River dropped their aluminum Vega box...

After you get past a minimum post count the rules relax a bit, but until then trying to post a link puts a "Possible Spammer" tag no your post and it gets blocked. Is this what you wanted to post - Lucky 7 Hot Rod

As far as I know Borgenson just sells cast iron boxes. Flaming River used to make aluminum, and Lucky 7, as far as I know, thats it.

Flaming River ended up "eating" most of the aluminum boxes they sold, quality was less then acceptable is the word I heard from a pal who installed a few of them!!!!! JMO, but I think I'd look for other places to cut some weight........
