Yes the calipers will be partially inside, i tried to get with 4" backset wheel but didn't have the room on the axle tube. I think i'm about 6" now so the caliper will be partially exposed. This is on a floater hub and things take up a lot of room.
I'm going to refigure everything tommorrow, i just finished cutting the stubs off the axle tube and turned them in the lathe. I have only a few inches of axle tube to work with and think it is time to call it a night and come back tomorrow with a fresh, clear head - well. as close to one as i can get anyway.

I moved my Wilwoods from side to side which mounted them opposite of the instruction sheet to allow my e-brake to work the way I had it set up. They work just fine. Disc brakes don't care as long as you have the bleeder up. These originally were on the back side:

Man-O-Man, what a mess! In case any of you get enthieusastic and messing with a QC don't get over ambitious and try to pull the tubes out. What possessed my to change my mind about how to go about doing this rear and trying to pull the axle tubes, weld the stubs and machine them true and drive them back in is one of the dumbest thing i have done in a while. I usually recognize the symtoms of when i am about to 'pet the dog' and let cooler heads prevail. I sure enough blew it this time. I should have just looked things over last night and at least tack welded it - but no... just gotta get anal and do some perfect work on an axle tube.
We need to start a thread about monumental dumbassed things we have done in the pursuit of perfection. We call it 'pet the dog' sometimes he'll just reach up and bite you.
