Go with the sway bar. Your setup sounds similar to mine. I have sway bars on both ends. Almost no body roll at all. Drives like it's on rails!
By the way, I used the front bar off an 82 Monte Carlo(metric). I turned it upside down. Had to heat the ends and pull them in slightly. Keep the heat low, don't heat the torsion part of the bar, and let it cool on it's own. I ordered poly sway bar mounts and used the stock MII end links. Works like a charm and cost's WAY less than the aftermarket bars. Also, Monte's had several different sizes of front bars, so you could tune it if you need to. Should be cheap at a pick-a-part.
My rear bar is off a 70's Camaro, but that's another story.
