    The track width on most of the older cars is around 56 1/2" (center of the tire tread on one side to the center of the tire tread on the other side.) If you want to use a 9" Ford, look at some of the late 70's, early 80's Ford Broncos. Measure ones with stock wheels so you don't get sidelined by aftermarket wheels which may have a different backset.
