livining here in this great state of ca i feel your pain. the dmv that is another story. i have used flagstaff az to geat few cars on the road. tip, you dont have to go there. download the forms, use your local police to do a vin check, send the paper work back so on so on. the trick is to use your home in ca as a mailing address. pick some AZ apt building address off the net.... as your az home... pain in the... but it works...
feb this year i got a 49 dodge wayfarer coupe, had the local popo come over to my shop and do a vin check. i had no paper work for the car and was not sure what year it was. ca dmv gave me a set of plates and a title, this took over 2 months and 45.00 later.
the local kids down the street wanted to use the car as a hot rod project, long story short, knowing i will never see any money out of the deal.... the kids brought me a 2 cases of beer... missing a few beers out of the cases... bet there father is pissed....55 chevy
