OK, but folks might be able to give better info if you let us know what kind of truck and what motor you're looking at.

This is a bit old-school, considering all of the 5 and 6-speed manual transmissions out there today. Mine was an A-bone with BB Chevy and Ford top-loader 4-speed. I used a Lakewood hydroformed adapter bellhousing. Clutch and brake pedal set mounted to the frame under the floor. No real linkage was required - just a straight rod from the clutch pedal to the throw-out fork. A hydraulic would work fine - I just didn't need it. I used a Hurst V-Gate shifter.
