Is there nobody that can offer a single fleating hope to me?

I tried disconnecting the outgoing fuel line from the fuel pump and cranking it to see if the pump would squirt out any fuel but it didn't. It is a brand new pump and I installed to the letter. Can anyone offer me any advise???
