Justin, I don't know about the racks but if ya try that with a regular box ya better be a weight lifter and I would assume the same holds true with a rack, I do know that if ya turn the steering shaft on a power rack with the hoses loose it'll squirt fluid, We usta run power steering box's on our roundy rounders years ago but we would loop a hose from the presure port to the return port but ya still needed a mack truck steering wheel to turn the danged thing.... Napa shows the manual rack at 155 bucks jobber cost with a 55 buck core.....
