If you get the truck, buy a 1980's S10, remove the cab and bed, tip the cab on it's side, cut out the floors and vwalia, you have every part you need to compleate the truck except the engine and transmission and interior ( seats may be usable ) and glass. The s10 floors can be cut to fit and the frame ( much newer than 71 yrs old ) can be modafied and the rear end, front end are there, even disc front brakes, not disc rears but that's an easy conversion. The master cylender could probably be used 2. You'd probably look at 3,000 for the engine, 680 for an auto tranny, 199 for a trick lokar shifter, 100 bucks for pedal assembly's, 500-1,000 for the S10, Glass shoulden't be all that expensive, 3,000 for a professional interior job, about 1,800 DIYing it. Some S10's have cool mag wheels so I won't put the 400-800 it would cost for those, about 400 to paint it, 300-400 for tires and about 600 for a rear disc brake kit if you wanted 1. I hope I didn't miss anyting.Originally posted by FMXhellraiser
Well what would be a price range? I am not sure on what I would put on it though. The guy said a s10 front and rear end would work but I don't know about that. So anymore info on that would be great.
Thanks.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
