Re: loosing weight on a 69 camaro
If your main objective is racing, you can take out the passenger seat and rear seat. Take out the front inner fender wells. Door panels heater core and related parts, A/C and related parts if you have air. Just take off anything that doesn't compromise safety. Judging by the 900 H.P. you are looking for, getting that much power to the wheels won't be cheap. You'll need a H.D. drive train and you should beef up the suspension so you don't twist the body into a pretzel. If you plan to run sub 10 sec. you'll need a certified cage.Originally posted by zero_proto
what would be some good ways to shed weight?
i know about gettin a fiberglass hood and trunk, thats as far as i go because money is an issue. Also someone told me there is some thick tar under the carpets? which you can remove to lose some weight.
Taking a few parts out to lighten it up is cheap. Putting the necessary parts back in to make it safe and effective is not.
It is fun tho isn't it. He He He
