If your main objective is racing, you can take out the passenger seat and rear seat. Take out the front inner fender wells. Door panels heater core and related parts, A/C and related parts if you have air. Just take off anything that doesn't compromise safety. Judging by the 900 H.P. you are looking for, getting that much power to the wheels won't be cheap. You'll need a H.D. drive train and you should beef up the suspension so you don't twist the body into a pretzel. If you plan to run sub 10 sec. you'll need a certified cage.Quote:

Taking a few parts out to lighten it up is cheap. Putting the necessary parts back in to make it safe and effective is not.
It is fun tho isn't it. He He He:) :) :) **)
yeah i know it is going to be tough but i am looking forward to it.
900hp base, is what i am hoping i can get or as close as possible.
I am in the process of preparing the car before i actually start getting deep into the engine. What would you suggest for the drivetrain? tran,r/e, etc
Ford 9" or dana 60 - 400 turbo or powerglide make sure it is built to handle the power - 4 link or ladder rear suspension - at least frame connectors - to connect subframe to rear and to stiffen the body - best would be a tube chassis.Quote:

Here's a link to my gallery. If you look around you will find other high H.P. chassis there too.

Unfortunately I had a bad day at work today. More equipment died. So my project will be collecting dust for a little while longer. Dad-burn-it anyhow !!!
