My 2017 F150 has the EcoBoost V6, twin turbo engine with the 10 speed auto tranny, which is the base for the Max Tow package. You can haul a larger payload with the V6 than the V8! I've got a great little independent shop that takes care of anything I need, BUT he won't touch the EcoBoost!! Says that there's just too much proprietary BS involved to make it worthwhile.
