A couple years ago I got the trans hot in my 55 Sunliner and lost third gear,a fluid change got third back but the trans was not right but was able to drive it. Since I plan on putting a original engine back in with in a couple years I did not want to spend the money to get the C-4 rebuilt so I put a used trans in,it leaked from the rear seal really bad so I thought I damaged the seal when installing it so it got replaced and it done the same. Pulled the drive shaft again and noticed fluid all over the rear of the yoke and nothing on the front where it was close to the seal,it looks like when I had the drive shaft made I had it made a little too long and it bottomed out on the output shaft and pushed out the plug. After having it shortened 5/8 and new yoke no leaks,there was a bunch all over the frame and its dribbling some but not that long stream of fluid.
