Sadly I agree. It's bad to have a car with no title, and the hassles of trying to sort past sins without losing the car; but it may be worse to have a title, now transferred to your name (you said you were off to the tag office), and no car to match the title. Here in KS they won't do the title work until the title & vehicle have been confirmed to match by the KSHP. Sounds like that's not the case in AL, and I hope you've not been burned.
