This is what I had planned to replace my aging twin 20/25hp DeVilbiss units and 20 year old 120G tanks before I lost the lease on my building.

It will be the last compressor you would ever need. Well worth the money if you want the quality....Especially if you paint

Myself, I bought a Saylor Beall when I started my shop. Nothing special, but very accommodating for anything I wanted to do.

    CFM Displaced @175 psi
    5 hp motor
    23 cfm @175 lbs
    CFM Delivered @175 psi= 17.3
    made in the USA
Ran that for 10 years in my shop, and never a bit of trouble. More air than 4 guys could use at one time.
The vertical was the best because it took up less ground room. I had a 6 bay shop, and one storage room for parts.
Paid 2,000.00 delivery included. I got the deal going to a trade show. Along with radiant heat, which vented the exhaust outside.

Where you have the compressor, did you want a connection on each side?
No, just one side is fine. I'm usually the only one using a air tool.
I like my Campbell, a little noisy though. A two stage would be nice.

I love mine. Helped a lot,....in building my Cobra.
I had a "Group Buy" years ago, so I received mine really, really....cheap.

For the house, I have a simple Craftsman porta with a 33 gallon tank
For anything else, especially if I was painting a car again, I would have no less than what I posted above. For me, I'd rather have too much of a unit than not enough.

I primed & block sanded my car at home, but painted it in a body shop where my brother-in-law worked. Long time ago now, in 2001.
