I saw an awesome 37 Pontiac coupe at good guys in Des Moines a couple years ago and it had flush fitted brake lights and third brake light. These things were flush with the paint and no seams can't remember where the guy said he got them at. Does anyone know where you can get them or a kit to do it?

Or did you mean like these? There are 5 lights "hidden" in the back of this ride...
Something like that. The ones I saw were smooth with the body, and cleared over. You couldn't tell they were there until they illuminated. But once you saw them you knew they were there. I'd like to do something like this for a third brake light. Eventually. :LOL:
These are like that. I waited for the sun to come around so I could snap that pic and you can pick out 2 of the lights. Other wise you won't see anything. I really thought it was a trick setup, hadn't seen anything like it before or since.Quote:

Not to hijack Ryan's thread, but it's the same around here, Terp. Nothing against check writers, other than the ones who hire it all done and then claim they "...built it myself!!" That's why I like threads on here where guys are showing what they're doing, and how they're doing it. Nothing better than figuring out how to do something you've never tackled before, and actually pulling it off and gettin' it done!Quote:

I did a flush mount 3rd brake light on a 32 Vick. Was mounted right below rear window. It's not rocket science and you do get instructions. You cut the hole out for the light itself. They even give you a pattern to follow. Test fit the light and mount it. There is some filling work to make the light look like part of the body. Then you sand the outside lens flush with the body and then make sure you tape it off when you primer and topcoat. The when you clear the paint the lens will get a shiny coat of clear.

Randy, I'm right there with you. I'm planning on running the nicer led 40 ford style lights on the fenders. But Id like to have a smoothe barely noticable third brake light. It may be ten years before that happens. :LOL:
