Ya know, I've been building cars and such ever since I can remember and something I've noticed in the last 10, or so, years. A LOT of people are writing checks instead of building them. I've talked to THAT GUY at a lot of shows.
ME: Hey guy, that's a nice mod, how'd ya do it.
OWNER (check writer) A lot of hard work. (turns and walks away)
ME AT A SHOW:
SPECTATOR: Hey guy, I like those hidden hinges, how'd you do it?
ME: Launch into a half hour, rambling, diatribe on pros and cons of doing it.
Frustrating.

Not to hijack Ryan's thread, but it's the same around here, Terp. Nothing against check writers, other than the ones who hire it all done and then claim they "...built it myself!!" That's why I like threads on here where guys are showing what they're doing, and how they're doing it. Nothing better than figuring out how to do something you've never tackled before, and actually pulling it off and gettin' it done!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Haha, Mike! That comment was based on the link in Post #8 "pick out 2" which linked to mufflers on ebay.

Now, back to Ryan, I assume you're exploring these lights for your '40, but just to throw in personal opinion, I think it's hard to improve on those cool original '40 taillights....
Of course, it's your car and I'm all for doing it however you want!
