Yes the oil I put in it was Royal Purple. Should I drain it out and put the Royal Purple break in oil in.

Swap them, save the synthetic for use later.

Yes, drain the synthetic, replace with RP Break In Oil, and save the synthetic for your first oil change after the break in is done. Originally Posted by Creep

Why did you waste money on a junk pile sbc when you could have gotten a decent engine in the first place?Too many toys, not enough money, but a very loving and understanding wife

Well Pepi; Ford Falcon stood for years as one of the fastest production car ever made that came strait from the Factory.
I don't think that's anything to be ashamed of. It's still faster then most of the car built today and it was built 55 years ago.
And yes I have a 65 Ford Falcon Ranchero and even with a 289 it was fast, wonder how fast it will be with the new Dart 450ci.
Monster I am planning on installing in it.
I ain't scared of no chevy.
