I don't like the looks of that lashup. that type of joint is supposed to be a tight press fit, and if tack welding is needed to make it stay, the socket is probably worn out or otherwise damaged or compromised, and the entire control arm should be replaced. Well here's the scoop on the ball joints. They screw in. the welds where there just to keep them from unscrewing. Thanks for the inputs.
