A new 8" positrac carrier is going to run you around $600 or more with the ride, and you'll still have a relatively weak 8" unit. Link to Summit, for example - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/yg...view/make/ford

You might be money ahead if you can find a positrac 8.8" or 9" with track that's close to what you have and change out the mounts to fit your Ranchero.

    61.25" 1957-1972 Ford F-100 pickup w/9" Trac-Lok
    61.25" 1960-1964 Ford full size w/9" Trac-Lok
    61.25" 1971-1973 Mustang w/9" Trac-Lok
    61.25" 1967-1973 Torino, Ranchero, Fairlane w/9" Trac-Lok

Or you could search for a...
    58.00" 1966-1977 Bronco 9" Trac-Lok.....and use wheels with a 1.5" shorter backspace.
