Haneline gauge cluster in my '56 wagon
Anyone know about the electric speedometers used in these clusters? I searched Haneline but never found their "real" website. The speedometer adapter is down on the trans (TH350) and the speedo just bounces around. I haven't pulled the adapter yet. Just wanted to see if anyone had some insight on these.
Thanks

Apparently, this is not an uncommon thing. I googled "Haneline", and found a link to a thread on The H.A.M.B about this subject; a lot of guys there have had the same, or worse problems with this manufacturer, tried a number of fixes that didn't fix anything, and are still kicking things around. It looks like the company has changed hands, too. Good luck.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
