I had a MII hack job in my 40 and I replaced everything but the crossmember, and on that I reinforced it and will be adding more to it as I go. I debated on replacing my crossmember and decided I would leave it as I have plans for a new chassis later on. It is a great idea to shop around and ask questions. Definitely don't buy the first thing you set eyes on. Also try to contact the company before hand and feel them out. I've purchased some junk and didn't know it until looking deeper.
