    The only way I know to adjust the end play is to shim the side gears(spiders) on the C-clip side or use a cross pin with no axle relief ground on it.

    Usually these rears get excessive end play because the curved shim between the spider gear and the housing gets worn away or the C-clip gets pounded out.
