The older Caddys had a telescoping/tilt wheel. Don't know exactly what years tho.

I used on in a 51 Ford PU project years ago. It came from a 77 Chrysler New Yorker.
For the Mopars they were used from the early 60 thru the end of the full size era in the late 70's. You usually saw them in the large top of the line New Yorkers and Imperials, although I did see one in a Cordoba once.
I believe the early units were telescoping only and made by Chrysler. The later units were Tilt/Telescoping and actually made by GM. They used GM Turn signal switches and there was a short adaptor harnesss to connect them to the Chrylser wiring Harness (it was kind of interesting wiring it until I found out it was a GM TS switch and color coding).I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

I have a 72 Caddy tilt and telescope column in my 39 Olds. Works great, but I cant find a custom steering wheel for it.

I used to have a tilt/telescopic wheel from a '69 Olds 98 in my 37 Ford. I modified a custom steering wheel by cutting a slot in it for the telescoping lever. There were some other "creative" mods that we did to make it work but I don't remember what they were. The mods were covered by the horn button and a trim piece. The reason for asking is the Astro's even through GM offset the drive train to the passenger side has limited leg room and the only real way to solve that would be to move the driver's seat back a touch.I would need to find one that was tilt, telescopic, wiper delay, and cruise.Just toying with it now and would have to go out to see what it would take to find a close crossover if there is even one out there.Don't know.Good Bye

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
