I hate it when things don't make sense. The last time I told you guys and gals that I had bought gas and within a mile the car would not idle. Got some heet and put it in the tank drove around and drove around added gas and drove around. Gas tank getting low problem still there. Decided I would drop the tank. But before I did I looked under the hood one more time. Noticed I had oil drops under the valve cover breather opposite side from the PCV. Hum? Started the truck and it idles warms up and is idling but not good. It is surging from 950 to 1200 rpm. when I am driving it in gear it goes to 450 and wants to die at a stop sign. I checked vacuum at 950rpm in park and it is 14.5 lbs.. I checked this at the trans connection on the intake. This happened like someone flipping a switch. I did change out my air cleaner before this happened. I changed from a Edel. round one to triangler wire mesh. Frustrating.
