I bet you got some water with that gas fill. Pull the carb and clean it. Change the inline filter while you're at it.
You don't say what carb you have, a Holley won't stand any water. A Carter or Edelbrock will sometimes pass water through with no ill effects. A good shot of alcohol will help get rid of it, too, but to be sure, you should pull the top off the carb and clean it.
