Try putting the edel breather back on. The motor may not be getting enough air thru the triangular one. A big problem with the triangle one is that if you pop back thru the carb the inside of the breather melt and run down into the carb, if your butterflies are open at that time then the melting plastic will wrap around them and cool off locking the blades in an open position. I know this from first hand experience.
Try to swap your air cleaner back and see if problem goes away.
