Years ago I decided to stop trying to come up with unusual color combinations, and started using the advise I was taught in my art schooling.

Soon after that, people started telling me how well I use color, and they haven't stopped telling me that since! (I don't tell them where my "secret" came from.) :-)

In art classes they teach that the natural color compliment for blue is orange.
