Get the BDS scoop. It is taller and wider and more correct. I had both in hand. The common flat style is just that. The BDS one has K&N filter available that are a good bit taller.
Got mine at BDS direct on sale for about $280.
Goodvibrations also has them.

Red you might want to ask around about how much air surface you can get through those filters. I know when I was looking into the same for my truck, there is a formula for air filter surface area to the cubes of your engine. Some of the more technical types here will hopefully chime in on this! I do agree that the Hilborn style looks the coolest!"

There is no problem with air flow with a 6-71 under either the K&N or the smaller paper air cleaners in the BDS scoop. Boost remains the same and plenty to be thrilling.
