hey guys, since the clearance isn't sufficient anyways, decided to cut a hole in the hood and run a hilborn style scoop. I think it will look cool. here is my question for today.
they have two sizes, summit brand, the 13" long and the 20", both about 10" wide. I'm thinking the shorter one might look kinda funny and boxy. what do you all think?

Get the BDS scoop. It is taller and wider and more correct. I had both in hand. The common flat style is just that. The BDS one has K&N filter available that are a good bit taller.
Got mine at BDS direct on sale for about $280. :CRY: Goodvibrations also has them.

There is no problem with air flow with a 6-71 under either the K&N or the smaller paper air cleaners in the BDS scoop. Boost remains the same and plenty to be thrilling. :LOL:
Man, you guys didn't answer until I'd already ordered, I checked right before putting it in, now I have to get it, not like it and convince my uncle to spend double. you guys..... :(
all right, all parts are on the way, would have had them tuesday if not for f-ing UPS. rain this week, so apparently UPS driver decides to require signature. I was out of town though. second notice my wife tells me, but I decide not to call because my uncle was going to come hang out at the house waiting for them. BUT he decides not to, in too much pain (waiting for hip replacement) but doesn't call me because he remembers it the way I did, that UPS holds them 3 days after last attempt.
not any more, they send it straight back. bastards.
