Look on the motor dataplate. The voltage the motor is rated at is PROBABLY the voltage the inverter is wired for.
Anyway, as long as the voltage is 220 or 460 then the inverter is fine for the application. If you can live with it, then I guess let it go, otherwise check into a 2 HP motor, the inverter can handle it..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
