    OK, I took the valve cover off again. It's not the inner spring at all it is a coiled retainer between the springs. Looks as thought it keeps them seperated a little.

    Are you talking about a flat-wound damper spring? That's the one that works to lessen harmonics in the round-wound springs. Do you have inner, outer and a damper?

    ?????????????? damper ? PC seal? coiled retainer ? how about a photo
