    Gasser type front axle

One of my customers wants me to install a Gasser type front axle , with parallel leaf springs in his 52 Pontiac. He wants to leave the frame stock with a stock cross member and radiator support . Also he wants the front end slightly high , like a gasser with 15” wheels
I will be using the Speedway axle kit and Chevy spindle, brake kit
If anyone has done something similar , I would like to know if I need a 4” dropped axle or a straight axle . Any suggestions on a steering box and shocks . Also any other problems or surprises I should know about .
    Thanks
    Dave

If I were you I would be looking to J. Robinson or Dave Severson.
They really know thier way around the old stuff.
Here is one of Robinsons threads.

    Hope this helps. Kurt

If he wants a gasser look i would go for a straight axle. Joliet Jake could help you out to, he has a gasser 62.
