    question on disc brake conversion

I thought I had asked this once before and searched for a thread with no luck. I tend to ask questions on here and then not get around to doing the project for months and months anyway here goes...

I have the rear disc brakes from a '97 Camaro and I want to put them (with the parking brake assembly) on my '35. The '35 has a 10 bolt from a '68 Camaro. The backing plates from the '97 rear appear to bolt right on to the '68 rear, but I am unsure if everything from there would bolt up or not. Is there anything between the two 10 bolt rears that would prevent me from doing this? I thought I had heard of people having to use adaptor plates, but I'm not sure if I would need anything like that without disassembling everything first...

    Anyone know?

If the pieces bolt to the rear end housing, the other thing is if the axle is the same distance spacing outward

you mean from the end of the housing to end of the axle where the rotor mounts? That would make sense and I could see how if the axle is longer on the 68 rear a spacer would be needed to allow for the caliper to mount to the backing plate and still fit on the rotor. I'll have to measure that distance on both rears...Thanks!
