Also, if you are worried what you have on stands may slide on the stand because steel on steel is very slippery just put some wood or cardboard or leather in between.

Hy jackstands are made from Ford V8 axle housrings. I don't worry.

Mine are newer, but I never trust just them alone, always keep the floor jack in place and wheels blocked! I'm always thinking this is no time for an earth quake! I don't know about the rest of you but mine like the meat between your thumb and your index finger, when you let them down!
