Why does it matter so much...as long as the part is good?

I had a person inquire about my bumper and they asked if it was original. I guess if a person is restoring a car and they want all original parts it matters to them.

I was told today that if you look inside the ends of the bumper and in the middle of the ring there will be a washer inside the bumper if it's a repop.

Mine has that ring, so I guess it's not an original.
