While this is not an anwser to your question, I thought I would mention that the current issue of Rod & Custom has a good article on carbs, accelerator pumps and ethanol.
Reason I thought about it was that the article was discussing Rochester 2G's and 2GC's (among other carbs) and some problems similar to what you were having. May not be your problem, but still a good read.Bob
