.....Bob Thank You, current fan is a Spal & it measures 3 3/4". I went to the Cooling Components web site & checked out their fan w/ shroud combo. I like it & think I'll get it! Thanks! My current set up doesn't have a shroud {although it didn't over heat w/ small block but with a blown hemi it might} & the Cooling Components one is 1 1/8" narrower. I don't know how much room I'll have between the radiator & engine because I haven't got the new motor in yet. I just got the 'mock up plastic' motor in the mail yesterday & my addapter to connect the hemi to my turbo 400 won't be here until next week. Although all I have left to do to pull my small block chev out is unbolt the trans. But I can tell by the measureing I've done that I'm going to need ALL the room I can get! In fact I might go with a Hilborn injection w/ no blower due to space restraints....
Don Thank You, your right about not really having any room up front for a push fan. After getting the grill shell & radiator off I realized that I could trim the radiator & grill shell to where the radiator actually almost touches the grill insert. In fact to get a push fan in there I'd have to move the radiator AWAY from the grill insert & towards the engine. Which defeats what I'm trying to accomplish!
Larry Thanks for the shroud info. I see now that I should & will go for one. I don't want to take any chances on over heating.
