    You could also put an ohm meter at the white and green wires (GM) disconnected from the box of course. Have somebody crank it over and see if you get a nice variation up and down the scale while the reluctor turns inside of the pick up. If it pulses, it will trigger any decent box set up. If it doesn't variate, it's the pick up coil.
