It's also a very nice way to do the latch for suicide hinges, too.... And, if you are running electric solenoids and a door popper it makes routing an emergency release cable to the door latch a lot simpler, too.

I want to go with the suicide hinges, but I was thinking of using the regular door handle with the bearclaws. Then I guess I need a safety latch.

A second latch is always a good thing with suicide hinged doors!!!!! Doesn't have to be anything more then a sliding pin that you can flip open with your foot, but just so you have something there!!!!!
