Does anyone know where to get latches, window regulators, door handles and hinges that won't break the bank. The local rod shop had a catalogue but I didn't see where they came from.

I'm trying to decide between the originals and bear claws, I also want to be able to lock the doors which I don't think the originals do.

Go with bearclaws, so much better than the originals........safer too.

Bear claws are a double catch latch, they work quite well and are reasonably priced, too.

I wasn't trying to make anyone look stupid, I just wanted to know what they were.

There's a set of window regulators on Ebay right now. The guys name is Mike Peterson from Shevlin MN, his phone number is 218-556-3977 I've been up to his place, prices are a little high but he can come up with the goods. He takes complete cars and takes them apart for resale.

I found one regulator on the other site for ten bucks and it cost me another fifteen to get it here and it still needs the spring which costs five bucks. Langs has brand new ones for $29.95 in their 2006 catalog www.modeltford.com

I use them on the Mercs too, Tom!!! They are a light pull, work great with solenoids, too! Chrysler Mini-vans with the power rear latch have a solenoid that works great with them in a T or A door!!!!!!

Might look at some pickups.... most are flat glass on the side windows and with a little luck might come up with one thin enough to fit the T doors.... Probably just as easy to get a set of aftermarket power windows and be done with it.... The window channels should be available through most any auto body supply store.

I've got Bearclaw latches in the Mercs, they're glass.... Also put them in a number of other 'glass cars... Must have been something specific to Brian's car.
