My car's original title (Louisana) had the engine number on it as the car VIN. In fact the Title VIN wasn't even the engine in at the time. It was the original 6 cyl engine that it came with in 1934.
Initially amusing,
but it wasn't amusing after PA DOT got a hold of the Title. They were a tad unhappy and that made my life very unhappy for about 8 weeks.
